The Curriculum Development Cell of CEP is fully funded by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The objectives of this cell are:

• to develop curricula and syllabi on various engineering subjects which can be adopted by AICTE recognised institutions around the country,

• to support and stimulate production of text books and reference material for undergraduate and postgraduate engineering education, and

• to support and stimulate introduction of TEL (Technology Enhanced Learning) in engineering education, particularly for delivery of education in the distance learning mode.

Some of the major milestones achieved by the CD Cell are:

• Preparation of complete curricula and syllabi for undergraduate programmes in  

  • Instrumentation Engineering,  
  • Agricultural and Food Engineering, and  
  • Mining Engineering.

• Many text books (published and manuscripts ready for publication) and Computer Aided Instruction Packages authored by IIT Kharagpur Faculty have been supported under this fund.

The intellectual property rights to curricular material such as lecture notes, books, video films and CAI packages will remain with the authors.
