Ongoing work on transportation of hazardous materials/wastes has been undertaken which is assuming great importance in transport- environment interaction studies. Risk accounting framework has been revisited along with route selection methodologies. Studies have also been undertaken in the field of risk and vulnerability mapping for tropical cyclones and related inundation. Framework of Socio-economic Impact Assessment for tropical cyclones has also been investigated with specific reference to Indian conditions. Past research in the field of parking studies where demand estimates and their characteristics has been explored,both for on-street and off-street parking. Specific issues i.e. optimal type and pricing for parking infrastructure has been explored for Indian conditions.
