I work in the broad area of Reliability Modelling and Analysis, and worked in the following sub-areas, viz., Network Reliability, FMEA/FMECA, Reliability Apportionment; Reliability based Design, Reliability data analysis and Maintenance Models etc. I have devised algorithms for network reliability assessment, proposed a unified framework to evaluate network reliability measures. Besides, we have contributed in fuzzy arithmetic based FMEA/FMECA, Reliability Apportionment techniques and extended the RBDO based approach in the design of EMI shielding/absorber materials. Our contributions have been published in several journals that include IEEE Transactions on reliability, International journal of reliability and system safety, International journal of Performability engineering, International journal of Quality and Reliability management, Journal of Risk and Reliability etc. whereas the conferences include RAMS symposium conducted by IEEE and ISSAT Conference on Reliability and Quality in Design.
We have excecuted several projects (sponsored by GOI agencies) of national importance on rellibaility aspects.
I have wriiten two books in the area of network reliability, viz., Network Reliability: Measures and Evaluation, Scrivener Publishing (Wily Partner), ISBN: 978-1-119-22356-6 and Mobile Ad Hoc Network: Reliability Measures and Evaluation, ISBN No: 978-3-659-91776-9, Lambert Academic Publishing, Germany. Besides, we have contributed one chapter on redundancy allocation approach in Handbook of Performability Engineering published by Springer-Verlag London Limited and another on MANET challaneges in Advances in Reliability and System Engineering, Part of the series Management and Industrial Engineering .
I am a senior member of IEEE, life member of SERSA, and Indian Society for Technical Education (ISTE). I am on the reviewer panel of several international/national journals, editorial board member of International Journal of Mathematical, Engineering and Management Sciences (IJMEMS), Editorial/advisory board member Journal of Graphic Era University (JGEU) and a Co-Editor-in-Chief to International journal of Performability engineering.
