Some of the sponsored projects and consultancies undertaken by the department include Cyclone shelters, Vibration & Noise Control in Bearings, Scheduling Decisions in a Flow Shop., Logistics systems for an integrated steel plant, Quality and yield improvements in a seamless plant. Layout planning for a telecom factory, Mechanical reliability studies of a Winder Drum etc.
