Placements at IIT Kharagpur staged a dramatic recovery after last years' recession as the graph below indicates. During 2009-2010, more than 160 companies and organizations visited the campus for taking placement interviews. In addition, 14 others had telephonic interview, video conference or called the students for interviews to their offices. The undergraduate student placement this is 91%, postgraduate students placement is 71% which is significantly higher than last year. More than 120 companies have offered summer training to our students, 55 of them with financial assistance.
