All India Rubber Industries Association (AIRIA) is a non-profiteering organization dedicated to promote the interest, growth and development of the Indian Rubber Products Industry. It has been the voice, platform and the forum of the rubber products industry for over six decades of its existence.
With the present strength of about 1400 members, the Association has its central office at Mumbai, four regional offices at New Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai and Mumbai, besides a Chapter at Pune.
Growing importance of the industry and trade necessitates functional ubiquity on an even keel and accordingly AIRIA contemplates setting up two more offices at Kottayam and Nashik before long.
It basically serves as a catalyst between the trade & industry and the Government and between the rubber fraternity in India and abroad. To promote two-way trade, technical exchange and upgradation of technology, among other things, the AIRIA has already established its credentials by way of
- organizing “India Rubber Expo”, the Asia's largest rubber show, with three integrated tiers
(i) an international exhibition for alpha & omega of the rubber products industry & trade,
(ii) technical conference and (iii) buyer-seller meet.
- sponsoring delegates and participating in international rubber exhibitions, and
- arranging various national & international seminars and workshops for
exchange of knowledge and innovative ideas for sophisticated development
of the industry.
The functions of AIRIA have a wider perspective. For example, it assists in identification of partners for joint ventures, location of customers & suppliers, and facilitates technical & manpower training. AIRIA, the voice of the rubber industry in India, represents the industry at all forums at the state, national and international levels. On behalf of the industry and trade, it interacts with the union and state governments on all matters affecting or likely to affect the industry and trade. Suffice to sum up, the AIRIA plays a pivotal role with a mission to mould the indigenous rubber products industry, a globally viable and competitive industry for a better and prosperous India.
