Fifty-Fifth Annual Convocation (August 8, 2009)

The Fifty-Fifth Annual Convocation of the Institute will be held on Saturday, the 8th August 2009 All students graduating in the session 2008 - 2009 are eligible to be awarded degree/diploma at the Convocation either in person or in absentia.

For Award of Degree/Diploma in Person

  1. Confirm your participation by submitting the online option form.
  2. Pay an amount of Rs. 500/- either by opting for deduction from Institute Caution Money Deposit or by cash payment (see website: http://acssc.iitkgp.ernet.in )
  3. Register in the S N Bose Auditorium (Room No. F-134) during 10.00 am and 14.30 pm on August 7, 2009 and produce the receipt of the amount paid.
  4. Collect the Convocation Scarf at Room F-127 by paying a refundable amount of Rs. 300/- in cash.
  5. Attend a full-scale rehearsal of the Convocation on August 7, 2009 at 3.00 p.m. in the Netaji Auditorium.
  6. Follow the guidelines (to be circulated to you on August 7, 2009) for the Convocation on August 8, 2009.
  7. Follow the dress code given below for both the rehearsal and the actual Convocation:
    a) For Boys Light colour plain full-sleeve shirt (no printed design) and dark colour plain trouser (no printed design) and shoes with socks
    b) For Girls Light colour plain sari or light colour plain Salwar Kurta (no printed design) with scarf and ladies shoes.
  8. Return the scarf in Room No. F-127 after the Convocation and collect the deposited amount of Rs. 300/-.
  9. Registration for participation, attendance in the rehearsal, and the dress code are mandatory, failing which one will not be permitted to attend the Convocation.

For Award of Degree/Diploma in Absentia

  1. Fill in the option form.
  2. Pay an amount of Rs. 1,500/- by cash or Demand Draft.
