I am associated with Aquacultural Engineering discipline. My group is focused on solving different aquacultural aspects using microwave and optical remote sensing techniques. Cage detection, oil-spill mapping, characterization of ships and Crop mapping from satellite data are difficult due to various environmental limitations. In addition, the physical characteristics of targets and their interactions with different wavelengths interpret remote sensing images very complex in a real scenario. However, the uniqueness of the signatures of diverse targets can separate different target classes to a large extent. Therefore, we are trying to find the existing pattern in the natural and man-made targets and their dynamics using synthetic aperture radar sensors like RADARSAT-2, Sentinel-1 and optical sensors like Landsat and Sentinel-2. We are also involved in wetland monitoring, surface soil moisture retrieval, snow type mapping, built-up area characterization, coastal changes, and determining polarimetric signatures from SAR data. Also, my group has experience in machine learning, such as attention mechanisms, domain adaptation and cloud-based computing, such as Amazon Web Service (AWS) and Google Earth Engine for computation of Big Earth Observation Data.
