Research Areas

I am primarily interested to carry out research activities in the following areas such as Design of Si, SiC, and GaN Converters and its Performance Analysis; High Performance Control of Electric Motor Drives; Electric Vehicles: Powertrain & Battery Management; Grid Connected Renewable Energy Systems. I am looking for some motivated students who have the desire to do hardware design and development related works along with in-depth theoretical study and analysis. I am also open for any possible research and teaching collaboration with the people from various industries, research and academic institutes.

Dr. Prasun Mishra is currently working as an assistant professor in Advanced Technology Development Centre (ATDC) at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, India. He did his B.Tech. in 2010 and M.Tech. in 2013 from West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT), India and Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR), India, respectively. He did his Ph.D. in April, 2020 from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India. He worked as a research assistant and then postdoc. at Aalborg University, Denmark from December, 2019 to June, 2021. Then, he worked as a research engineer at GE Global Research, Bangalore, India from July, 2021 to October, 2021. He also had the experience working in CSIR-CMERI as a quick hire scientist trainee and in TCS as an assistant system engineer trainee.
