My main research interests include issues in energy economics, environmental economics, applied macroeconomics, international trade and finance, and housing economics. I also have an interest in urban economics. Currently, I work on energy economics, which is an interesting field that has potential scope for future research. This area of research focuses on the effects of geoplotical risks on energy demand and supply. The impact of clean energy use on export competitiveness of domestic firms is an another important issue that we examine in our research. We also examine the role of innovation diversity in environmental quality.
My research also concentrates on, first, what are the effects of housing market dynamics on bank credit growth in emerging market economies; second, macro issues covering the link between current account balance and asset prices; third, energy issues covering the link between crude oil prices, current account balance and globalization for developing and developed economies; and finally understanding the global policy implications from the empirical link between remittances inflows, economic growth and financial development for developing countries through the channels of human capital and institutional quality.
