Research Statement
My research lies at the intersection of Human Resource Management (HRM), Organizational Behavior (OB), and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). My work explores how organizations strategically manage their human capital and social obligations to drive both performance and positive societal impact, with a direct link to the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
I focus on two critical and interconnected areas:
HR Functions and Strategic Knowledge Management: My work investigates how organizations build and leverage knowledge to design effective HR strategies. I specifically examine how these strategies contribute to achieving SDGs, by fostering employee engagement, skills development, and innovation.
Corporate Social Responsibility and SDG Integration: I analyze the role of organizations as socio-economic actors, focusing on how CSR strategies are developed and institutionalized to address the SDGs. This includes examining the processes and practices that influence social welfare and sustainable community development, directly contributing to the SDG goals.
My research streams contribute to broader conversations in organization theory, strategic HRM, CSR and Sustainable Developmental Goals, addressing both theoretical gaps and practical challenges of the organizations and social responsibilities within contemporary organizations.
Over the years, I have successfully guided Ten Ph.D. scholars—six in the domain of Human Resource Management and three in CSR and one in Sustainable HR. I am currently supervising four additional doctoral candidates in these areas. My academic contributions include a robust portfolio of publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals and numerous presentations at international conferences. Besides, I conduct the Impact Assessment and Baseline Surveys that are aligned with the fulfilment of the SGDs. My long-term research agenda is to further explore the evolving interface between strategic HRM, SDGs and CSR, with an aim to inform theory, policy, and practice in ways that enhance both organizational performance and societal well-being.
