Dr. Prakash Sharma’s academic journey and research engagements reflect a sustained commitment to advancing knowledge in the field of public law, with a particular emphasis on criminal law, administrative law, public international law, and land laws. He earned his Doctorate from the University of Delhi, following the completion of his Master of Law from the Indian Law Institute and a Bachelor of Law from the Faculty of Law, University of Delhi.

His academic career includes teaching appointments at leading legal institutions such as Vivekananda School of Law and Legal Studies (Vivekananda Institute of Professional Studies-Technical Campus, New Delhi), Law Centre-II (Faculty of Law, University of Delhi), and Lloyd Law College. These roles have enabled him to impart legal education in both foundational and specialized areas, including Criminal Law, Administrative Law, Land Laws, and Legal Studies.

Dr. Sharma has also contributed to a range of interdisciplinary research projects of national significance. His involvement in initiatives like the Police System India Series and the NIA Project (both under the Indian Law Institute), and the Human Rights Project (Indian Society of International Law) showcases his engagement with issues of institutional reform, justice delivery mechanisms, and human rights protections.

As a Life Member of the Indian Society of International Law, New Delhi, Dr. Sharma continues to align his research interests with contemporary challenges in public law, particularly in the domains of criminal justice and governance.
