Dr. Remesan is an Associate professor, at the School of Water Resources, IIT Kharagpur. He is a hydrologist whose research centers on hydrological processes and their intricate interactions with water, atmosphere, and landscapes across present and future climate and land use scenarios. With a water research background and working experiences with esteemed UK institutions including the University of Bristol, University of Hull, Cranfield University, and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology in Wallingford, he has led some major projects addressing water and land resource challenges. As a Fellow of the UK Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and a recipient of notable awards such as the Indian Society for Hydraulics-G.M. Nawathe Puraskar, ORS Award (UK), and CIGR Ejournal Award, his contributions have been widely acknowledged. Dr. Remesan's research team focuses on hydrological data subjectivity, land surface processes, weather dynamics and water extremes like floods and droughts, climate change's influence on water resources, as well as catchment modeling and water management strategies.
