My research lies at the intersection of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 3 (Good health and well-being), 11 (Sustainable cities and communities) and 13 (Climate action). With academic training in Architecture and Sustainable Urban Planning, and a research background spanning India, the United States, and Singapore, my areas of interest include heat justice, active mobility, public health, and urban design. I am particularly keen to address the sustainability challenges related to the impact of heat on human health, public spaces, and urban design for physical and mental well-being; climate-resilient active mobility planning; as well as environmental upgradation in informal settlements using Nature-based Solutions (NbS), combining both technology and policy interventions, enriched by field experiences in observational biometeorology, participatory planning, community-based approaches, as well as data-driven design and communication. Some tools I regularly use for my research are ENVI-met, GIS, R Programming and SPSS, Adobe Creative Suite.
