I have research interests in the following areas:
  • 1. Design and performance augmentation strategies for turbomachines.
    2. Experimental and Computational (CFD) study of turbomachines.
    3. Contra-rotating axial flow turbomachines aerodynamics,
    4. Electric propulsion
    5. Experimental and Computational Fluid mechanics and Heat transfer.
    6. Experimental aerodynamics.

I am involved in establishing and setting up the Turbomachinery Research facilities at the Department of Aerospace Engineering.

Ongoing research :

1. Design and development of a tandem-bladed low-speed axial flow compressor.
2. Development and calibration of innovative pressure probes for turbomachinery research
3. Innovative, compact, lightweight Contra Rotating Axial Centrifugal Compressor (CRAC) stage.
4. Design and development of Sector Annular Cascade Tunnel for compressor and turbine annular cascade testing.
5. Performance augmentation strategies using passive flow control mechanisms like end wall contouring, tandem configuration, splitter blade, variable turbine nozzle vane concepts, etc.
6. Experimental and computational blade cooling studies.
