I work on fossilized remains of vertebrates that are more than 200 million years old and deduce the once-living dynamic animals that lived in the geological past. The research work involves examination of their functional morphology and bone histology to decipher paleobiology such as feeding mechanism and /or diet, posture and locomotion, habitat, bone tissue type, growth regime, lifestyle adaptations, and evolutionary trends to obtain a comprehensive picture of the animal behind behind the fossil bones. The ultimate aim is to attempt a reconstruction of the paleo-ecosystem.
