Research Areas

My research lies at the intersection of security, embedded systems, and encrypted computation, with the goal of enabling trustworthy and efficient computing for next-generation intelligent systems. As IoT devices and edge platforms become pervasive, ensuring strong security under strict resource constraints remains a critical challenge. In Embedded system security, I focus on designing lightweight cryptographic primitives and hardware-assisted mechanisms tailored for constrained environments. My work explores secure firmware design, protection of communication protocols, and defenses against side-channel and physical attacks. A key direction is hardware–software co-design to provide strong, efficient security guarantees at the system level.

Another core area of my research is privacy-preserving computation, including homomorphic encryption (HE), secure multi-party computation (MPC), and trusted execution environments (TEEs). I aim to enable computation directly on encrypted data, ensuring data confidentiality in sensitive domains such as healthcare and finance. I am particularly interested in optimizing encrypted operations—such as matrix multiplication and machine learning inference—to make them viable for real-time and embedded deployments. Bringing these domains together, I also investigate secure and private AI at the edge, addressing threats such as membership inference, model inversion, and adversarial manipulation. My work emphasizes balancing privacy, robustness, and computational efficiency in deployed systems.

My broader vision is to build scalable, energy-efficient, and provably secure computing frameworks that can operate reliably in adversarial settings. By integrating cryptographic techniques with embedded system design and machine learning, I aim to contribute toward a secure and privacy-preserving digital infrastructure for future intelligent applications.
