My area of expertise has been in Traffic Operations and Road Traffic Safety from the year 2013. My research interests belong to

i) Road Traffic Safety using Traffic Conflict Analysis and Surrogate Safety Assessment; ii) AI-based Automated Crash Risk and Hotspot Detection; iii) Naturalistic Driving and Rider Behaviour Studies using Instrumented Vehicles; iii) Microsimulation-Based Traffic Safety and Operations Analysis (PTV VISSIM, SUMO); iv) Electric Vehicles and Shared Autonomous Mobility Operations; v) Connected and Autonomous Vehicle (CAV) Environments; vi) Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence Applications in Transportation; vii) Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and IoT device developments; viii) Predictive & Data-driven Safety for Pedestrians and Motorcyclists; ix) UAV/Drone-Based High-Fidelity Trajectory Data; x) Network Screening and Proactive Safety Management; and xii) Digital Twin Applications for Transportation Safety and Infrastructure Monitoring.
