Energy, environment, and chemistry education are the three major areas of my interest. As a chemist, I have always believed that ‘Catalysis’ would be a common solution to the current issues associated with ‘energy’ and ‘environment’. My research, at present, is focused on developing new transition metal catalysts for (a) hydrogen storage and transportation, and (b) functionalization of polymer-degraded alkanes. As an educator, I felt the need to incorporate advanced and interdisciplinary topics in school and undergraduate curricula, which interested me in developing suitable laboratory experiments in these areas. Along the same direction, my research aims to construct an application-oriented, priority-based understanding and perception of various chemistry concepts.
