My research centers on integrative human physiology with a strong emphasis on clinical translation, aiming to decode physiological mechanisms underlying health, disease, stress, and resilience. I focus on neurocardiac, neuromuscular, respiratory, and autonomic regulation to derive objective, clinically actionable physiological markers that strengthen routine clinical assessment.
The Human Physiology Laboratory at BCRMRC supports synchronized, high-fidelity acquisition of HRV, EEG, NCV, EMG, respiratory parameters, autonomic indices, and advanced biosignals, integrated with neuroelectrophysiology, cardiopulmonary assessment, biosignal analytics, computational modelling, and AI-enabled analysis. This infrastructure enables mechanistic investigation, clinical validation, and real-world translation.
A core focus of my work is the physiological profiling of metabolic and non-communicable diseases, including hypertension, diabetes, and metabolic syndrome, with the goal of identifying early autonomic–metabolic physiological signatures. In parallel, we evaluate Yogasana exercises and other non-pharmacological interventions using quantitative physiological metrics to assess autonomic modulation and systemic restoration.
By integrating traditional lifestyle-based interventions with computational intelligence and aligning research with innovative medical education, my work bridges fundamental physiology, clinical utility, and scalable solutions to address the global burden of chronic disease.
