Our Research and Academic group focuses on Cognitive Neuro-psychology, Biosensors for Point-of-Site Application, Neuro-electrophysiology and Stress Assessment and Management. We also dwelve into developing novel and effective Medical Education Techniques and incorporating the changing trends in teacher training programs and assessment methods along with innovative learning methods in the context of a new undergraduate and postgraduate Medical curriculum. Through faculty and student assessments and feedback analysis, we aim to identify areas for improvement in teaching, learning, and assessment strategies. By implementing evidence-based changes and modern technology based solutions,we strive to enhance the quality of medical education.
Our research team also focus on how people process mental stress, anxiety, depression and how it affects their cognition. Of particular interest are the mechanisms which underlie stress and how to objectively assess it in clinical settings. Our focus includes objective evaluation of stress by a combination of biomarkers, including feature extraction and quantification of EEG signals along with behavioral experimental analysis in psychology and neuroscience. Early diagnosis and evaluation of mental stress and other neuropsychiatric disorders will have a positive impact on the prognosis of the psychological as well as social outcome of the affected patients. Our team also investigates into non-pharmacological effective measurable management of neuropsychiatric disorders, that can supplement conventional pharmacological therapeutics.
With a strong dedication to both medical education and research, I intend to expand my knowledge and make valuable contributions to the sphere of interdisciplinary Physiology.
