My research interests lie at the intersection of Public Health and Digital Health, with a strong focus on translating evidence into practice to improve population health outcomes in India. My work primarily addresses non-communicable diseases (NCDs), mental health, addiction, and health system strengthening, particularly in rural and underserved settings.

Current Projects
Co-Principal investigator in Research project titled “Efficacy of Comprehensive Ayurvedic Treatment (CAT) as Add-On to Conventional Bio- Medicine in Improving the Quality of Life (Qol) in Unresectable Stage III – IVB Head-Neck Squamous Cell Carcinoma (HNSCC) Patients: An Assessor Blind Randomized Controlled Trial, CATCH Trial” approved by ICMR-AYUSH integrated center at AIIMS, Nagpur.

Co- Principal investigator in Research project titled "Evaluation of Telepathology Added Health Information System (THIS) for Early Diagnosis of Extrapulmonary Tuberculosis" at AIIMS Deogarh.

A key area of my research explores the interaction between behavioral risk factors (such as tobacco use), psychological distress, and social determinants of health, using qualitative and mixed-methods approaches. I am particularly interested in understanding patient-level barriers to integrated care and developing context-specific interventions that can be implemented within the public health system.

In parallel, I actively work in the domain of digital health and mobile health (mHealth), focusing on the design, development, and evaluation of digital interventions to enhance self-care, treatment adherence, and patient–provider engagement, especially for chronic conditions like hypertensionand diabetes. My research emphasizes user-centered design, ethical deployment of digital tools, and real-world implementation within the Indian healthcare ecosystem.

I also collaborate on interdisciplinary projects involving medical education, simulation-based training, and emerging technologies (AI) to strengthen capacity building in healthcare delivery and education. Through extramural funding and institutional collaborations, my long-term goal is to generate policy-relevant, scalable, and sustainable public health solutions aligned with national health priorities.
