Dr. Dibyendu Kamilya has teaching and research experience within the broad fields of aquaculture. He has research expertise in fish health, particularly in the areas of fish pathogen characterization; host-pathogen interaction; isolation, characterization, and application of probiotics; and application of immunostimulants in aquaculture. Another area of his research is aquacultural environmental management, especially the application of biological means to remediate aquacultural wastes. He now aims to integrate biological principles with engineering aspects for application in the arears of aquacultural waste remediation, fish welfare and other areas of aquacultural systems management.
