IITKGP

Research Areas

  • Development of onion harvester
  • Renewable energy operated agri-machinery
  • Unmanned agricultural machinery
  • Electrostatic charging of liquid droplet
Improvement in tractive ability of power tillers, development of combination tillage implements for better power utilization, lesser fuel consumption with reduced labour requirement, improvement of mechanization of vegetable transplanting  using robotic arms, generation of green electricity using biofuels and use of non-conventional energy operated machinery. All these efforts are made to reduce fuel consumption, dependency on conventional fuel and labour requirement and to improve field capacity and  field efficiency. These research activities are supported by funding agencies such as DST, CSIR and ICAR.
