We have recently developed GUMBOS-based smart materials as efficient biomolecular sensors. These are being implemented in fabrication of relevant devices. | Candidates with Ph. D. in chemistry/biophysics/physics may apply for post-doc. | Position open for motivated researcher preferably from Chemistry/Physics/Biophysics/similar backgrounds. |

Research Areas

  • Experimental Physical Chemistry
  • Biophysics
  • Single Molecule Spectroscopy
  • Fabrication of spectroscopy instruments
  • Biomaterials and nanomaterials
My group is involved in experimental physical chemistry research with particular emphasis on laser spectroscopy, ultrafast spectroscopy, biophysics, spectroscopy of materials, chemical education and analytical spectroscopy. Myself is currently involved in the development of fluorimeter prototype for sensitive detection and estimation of Arsenic pollutants in water with the help of our own developed quantum dots. We are in the process of developing quantum dot based systems for biological applications.
