In our lab we are investigating electrical properties of different organic and inorganic semiconductors and semiconductor composites. The main focus is on the charge transport properties like conductivity, carrier mobility and carrier lifetime. The detection tool is sometime a simple source measure unit, sometime a sophisticated lock-in amplifier and sometime the exotic method of charge carrier extraction by linearly increasing voltage (CELIV). Also, we look into different aspects of sample preparation like chemical vapour deposition, solvothermal method, pyrolysis and spin coating. Lately we are looking into optical and mechanical properties of semiconductor composites systems as well. In future, we plan to extend our research to investigate resistivity fluctuations in semiconductors as well. In our group, highest priority is given to the quality and reproducibility of data.
