Research Areas

We, at "Functional Materials Laboratory", aim at development of new functional materials based on strongly correlated materials. We perform this through synthesis of compounds and investigations of their electronic and physical properties. The activities of our research group are primarily focussed around the following themes -

1. Functional magnetic materials
2. Emergent transport properties using orbital degrees of freedom in strongly correlated systems
3. Multiferroics
4. Thin films using r.f. sputtering
