My research focuses on developing analytical, computational, and experimental methods for understanding and controlling the dynamic behaviour of engineering structures. Particular emphasis is placed on rotorcraft mechanics, structural vibrations, aeroelasticity, inverse problems, and reduced-order modelling. Through the use of mathematical modelling, mechanics-based analysis, and data-driven approaches, my group seeks to establish fundamental relationships between structural properties, dynamic response, and system performance.
Current research activities include aero-structural design of rotating beams and rotor blades, inverse vibration synthesis, structural health monitoring, uncertainty quantification, and vibration-based diagnostics. The long-term objective of the group is to develop physics-informed methodologies that integrate modelling, experimentation, and computation for the design, monitoring, and control of complex dynamical systems.
