International Trade and Finance

My research interest mainly includes contemporary issues in International Trade and Development Economics. In particular, I am interested in the impact of globalization on various socio-economic aspects of the developing countries. In my PhD dissertation I have analyzed the inter relationship among trade liberalization, product variety, quality and economic growth both theoretically and empirically. Post PhD I have worked on the impact of trade liberalization on product variety and factor flows. Currently I have been working on global value chain and it's impact on the trade pattern and employment for the emerging economies. I am also interested in areas of service trade, regionalism and contemporary issues in development studies.
