My research interest is in the area of Open Economy Macroeconomics (OEM) specifically external sector issues like monetary spillovers and global financial cycles, currencies and exchange rate misalignments, trade imbalances, impossible trinity and monetary policy challenges, CB balance sheets and cross-border macro-financial linkages, policy coordination etc. I am interested in studying the new-age problems faced by large open emerging market economies like India, China etc. in the face of massive increase in cross-border investment and increased financial linkages with the advanced nations. I am also interested to study structural issues like institutions, governance and financial development of developing countries vis-a-vis advanced economies and corporate finance issues related to the above subject areas. Another area of interest is the future of finance and banking with the unfolding of the current digital revolution. I am interested to research how future leadership in administration, and businesses can better manage their trade in a rapidly evolving, uncertain and economically integrated world with substantial mutual causal effects between nations.
