Research Areas

My research focuses on developing sustainable and efficient processes for recovering valuable metals from low grade ores, metallurgical wastes, and end-of-life products. I investigate the use of renewable reductants as environmentally friendly alternatives to coke, reducing carbon emissions in metallurgical operations. My work also emphasizes metal recycling and resource recovery to support a circular economy and sustainable resource utilization. Additionally, I research the production of metallurgical-grade silicon from silica resources and its purification to solar-grade silicon for photovoltaic applications. My goal is to develop innovative, energy-efficient, and environmentally responsible technologies for sustainable metal extraction and advanced materials production.
